Meet the experienced and friendly doctor and staff who make Woodbine Eye Care a proud provider of vision care products and services in Woodbine.

Dr. Helena Wang Bobola

Dr. Helena Wang Bobola graduated with honors in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, where she graduated with clinical honors.

During her studies, Dr. Wang was an active member of Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity. As part of a dedicated team, she traveled to Haiti, where they provided free eye exams, glasses, ophthalmic medications, and surgical referrals to over 1,000 patients in need.

Her clinical training includes a specialty contact lens rotation at Broward Eye Care in Fort Lauderdale, FL, an ocular disease rotation at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC, and a primary care rotation at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA. After her training, she returned to Maryland, where she has practiced in Anne Arundel County, Prince George’s County, and now in Woodbine, Howard County. Dr. Wang is passionate about delivering comprehensive, high-quality eye care to patients of all ages.

Dr. Wang was born and raised in Maryland and currently lives in Howard County. Outside the office, Dr. Wang loves spending time with her family, including her husband Jon and their newest addition, baby Caleb. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing volleyball, video games, and powerlifting.
